Day #1
We'll be covering popular botanicals and their benefits (e.g., lavender for relaxation, chamomile for soothing, calendula for healing) as well as tips on carrier oils and the best infusion methods.
Day #2
We'll be breaking down ethical & sustainable sourcing for crafting with conscience, We'll focus on understanding labels and break down what terms like "organic", "fair-trade", and "cruelty-free" mean, why they're important, and carefully selecting the right suppliers.
Day #3
We'll round off the challenge with a dive into the art and aesthetics of soap-making, ensuring products are not just functional but also visually appealing. We'll also introduce participants to colour theory, layering, swirl techniques, and the use of natural colorants as well as share simple and effective techniques to photograph soaps, emphasising natural lighting and composition.
